TL;DR: Book December weekends by late October, budget roughly £30 to £55 a head for food, and choose a menu that covers halal, vegetarian and vegan guests without a "special" plate. At Bombay 2 Goa in Headingley, the Christmas Feast is four courses for £30 a head, every guest picks their own, and tables of up to 25 book online.
Somebody has to organise the work Christmas party, and if you are reading this, it is probably you. The good news: most of the stress comes from three decisions, and once they are made the rest is easy. When, how much, and what everyone will eat. Here is how to get each one right in Leeds this year.
When Should You Book?
Earlier than feels sensible. Friday and Saturday nights in the first three weeks of December are the first to go across Leeds, and large tables go before small ones, because a restaurant can only fit so many of them into one evening. If you want a December weekend, aim to book by mid to late October.
If your team is flexible, a Monday, Wednesday or Thursday, or a date in late November, is far easier to get and usually more relaxed. Our Christmas Feast runs from 1 November to 24 December 2026, and booking by 30 November 2026 with the code SANTA15 takes 15% off the table bill.
How Much Should You Budget Per Head?
Looking at what Leeds restaurants are advertising for 2026, set Christmas menus mostly run from just under £30 to around £55 a head before drinks. Add a drinks allowance on top: a welcome drink for everyone is a simple, fair way to do it.
Ask about deposits before you commit. Many venues want one for big groups. Ours is a single flat fee per table, never per person, and only for 6 or more guests: £20 for 6 to 10 guests, £30 for 11 to 15 guests, £50 for 16 or more guests. It comes off the bill on the night.
Choose a Menu That Works for Everyone
A traditional turkey dinner tends to leave the vegetarians with a nut roast and the halal eaters with very little at all. Indian food solves that by default: vegetarian cooking is a full half of the cuisine, not an afterthought.
On our Christmas Feast every guest chooses their own starter, main, side and dessert, so nobody has to agree on sharing plates. All our meat comes from halal-certified suppliers, and the vegetarian choices include paneer butter masala, dal makhani, onion bhaji and gobi manchurian. For colleagues who like it mild there is butter chicken or chicken tikka masala; for the adventurous, Goan dishes like chicken xacuti and cafreal. See the full Christmas menu.
The worst job for any organiser is chasing twenty pre-orders. When you book with us online you can pick "decide later", and we take everyone's choices nearer the day, by phone or when you arrive.

Street parking on most nearby roads is free after 6pm. And Headingley is home to the famous Otley Run, so there is no shortage of places for a drink after dinner if the party wants to keep going.
